DISCLAIMER: This is an IC (in-character) journal for characters in an online RPG, City By The Bay MUX. None of the events or people mentioned herein are real, and all characters mentioned belong to their respective players or creators. This journal is for entertainment purposes only.

While IC journals may be public for ease of reading by the general playerbase of City By The Bay MUX, this does not automatically mean that you will know about or be ICly friended to a character’s journal. Please use this feature responsibly! If you have no IC reason to be friended to a particular character’s journal--whether by invitation or the coincidence of sharing mutual friends--then you may read their entries via the community friends page.

Please pay attention to and respect the labels placed in subject lines and cut-tags. These include:

-OOC: This means that either the whole entry or the text placed under the cut-tag is out-of-character, wholly and completely.

-((IC Friends Only)): This means that ICly, the entry is locked only that characters IC friends list. If you are not on their list, treat this information as being OOC knowledge.

-((Locked to X, Y and Z)): This means that the text placed under a cut-tag is locked to the indicated characters only, and should be treated as OOC knowledge by those not indicated.

-((PRIVATE)): This means that the text under the cut-tag is private to that character only. All readers should treat all information under this flag as being OOC knowledge.

Exceptions to these tags are by player-consent ONLY. Do not say that your character hacked or stole the password to another character’s journal unless you have express permission from that player. If you do have permission, and then the player announces that they have changed their password, do not assume that you will be able to hack or discover what the new password is.

If the information revealed within these IC journals is abused within the game setting, staff can and will be alerted and will act accordingly with the offence. Treat these journals as an extention of City By The Bay MUX, as a means to further enrich in-character play and relationships within the game. And most of all:
